Tribunal Sacks Governor Via Zoom Judgment
The Kano State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as governor of the state and in his place declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasiru Gawuna, as the winner of the March 18 election.
GWG.ng reports that Yusuf contested the election on the platform of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and was declared as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The judgment of the tribunal was declared by zoom on account of the tension that enveloped the state ahead of the delivery of the panel’s verdict.
