DESIEC Commissioner, Imasua Pledges To Deliver Mandate

Comrade Amino Azogbolem Imasua a commissioner in the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DESIEC) has promised to work assiduously with his team to deliver on  the mandate bestowed on them.

GWG.ng reports that Imasua alongside other members of the newly appointed chairman and commissioners were inaugurated last Monday by Gov Sheriff Oborevwori in Asaba.

Speaking at a reception following the inauguration hosted by his Omumu Community at Agbor, Comrade Imasuan said that the pedigrees of the commissioners will guarantee transparent, credible and free local government council election in Delta State.

Imasua, an Industrial Mathematics graduate of Edo State University, now Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma,  was until recently, Secretary, Ika South Local Education Authority (LEA).

Earlier while inaugurating members of the DESIEC under the chairmanship of Dr. Jerry Agbaike, Governor Oborevwori, charged them to conduct local government election that will be acceptable to Deltans.

The pledge by Imasua to deliver on his mandate at DESIEC came as the Speaker of the Delta  House of Assembly, Mr Dennis Guwor has called for a more united and secured nation for a greater tomorrow.

Guwor made the call in Asaba on Sunday to mark Nigeria’s 63rd Independent Anniversary.

Guwor while congratulating Nigerians especially the people of Delta, said the multi ethnic diversity of the nation should be a great asset for positive development.

The speaker who said  that though a lot had been achieved as a people,  noted that there were much more needed to be done as a developing nation.
