Many Students ‘Kidnapped’ As Terrorists Attack Nigerian University
Gunmen suspected to be terrorists on Saturday night attacked the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara, Northwest Nigeria.
It was gathered that a gun battle ensued between the terrorists and Nigerian military personnel at the Federal University.
Speaking to SaharaReporters, some students confirmed the attack, adding that the terrorists had, however, abducted another batch of students from the school.
While the claim by the student could not be independently verified, one student said: “Pray for us; we are again under terrorists’ attacks.”
The terrorists, according to the report, invaded the students’ residential area at Damba Area, Gusau, Zamfara State capital, where they were said to have abducted the university students.
Recall that terrorists on Wednesday invaded the University and stole all the medications found at the university clinic.
Gunmen had also kidnapped some students of the school weeks ago.
The gunmen invaded the students’ residence at Sabon-Gida, identified as Nazeer Sabon-Gida, and took away some female students of the school, whose number could not be ascertained three weeks ago.
GWG.ng reports that the fresh attack by terrorists on the students of the Federal University Gusau is bound to provoke further anxiety over the parents, students and university community.
