Outrage As Israel, Arab Nations Trade Blame Over Killing Of 500 In Gaza Hospital

Israel and Palestinian groups were on Tuesday trading blame over the strike on a Gaza hospital that has killed as many as 500 persons who were reportedly taking shelter there.

Hamas blamed Israel but Israeli officials after initially denying any activity at that time have now fully put the blame on Islamic Jihad, a junior partner to Hamas in the fight against Israel.

GWG.ng reports that the devastation from the strike at the hospital run by the Anglican Church has shocked many around the world forcing the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmod Abbas to pull out from the scheduled meeting with President Joe Biden of the United States.

While initial suspicion was thrown at Israel, however, Israeli officials have now put the blame for the strike on Islamic Jihad which they claimed has in the past fired missiles which failed to get to their destinations within Israel. The Israeli officials say they have the proof that Islamic Jihad fired the missile that caused the carnage.

The Israeli Defence Forces in a statement on Twitter said:

Meanwhile, President Biden was on Tuesday night on his way to the region. He is expected to meet with Israel and bolster support for the peace process that was on the fringe of birth before the Hamas strike on Israel on October 7.

The strike on the Gaza hospital is one that has further thrown confusion into the work of peace enthusiasts in the region.
