The bodies of an Israeli man Erick Peretz and his 16-year-old daughter with cerebral palsy, victims of the shocking terror attack by Hamas at the Nova Music Festival, were finally found on Wednesday

The Nova Festival near Sderot was stormed by gunmen who killed at least 260 people and took 199 people hostage on October 7.

Erick Peretz and daughter Ruth were located Wednesday at the site of the festival near the Re’im Kibbutz after the state of Israel wrote on X that they were ‘brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists.’

Ruth was wheelchair-bound and suffered from cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.

The father and daughter are among at least 260 Israelis who were massacred by Hamas.

Elder daughter Yaarit Peretz, 26, told the Israeli site Ynet Monday before they were found that this was a complete shock after what had been a good trip.

‘[My father] was really happy, and everything was fine,’ she said.

She said that Peretz would take Ruth to concerts and other events often to cheer her up.

‘For years he goes to these parties and takes Ruth, because it makes her really good and she loves it,’ Yaarit said. ‘There were times when he would take her and she didn’t want to come back.’

Yaarit last spoke to her father the morning of the October 7 attack.

‘He said that they barely had reception, and he didn’t know where to go. He said that almost everyone ran away, and I told him that there were terrorists on the streets.’

She was especially worried about Ruth, who is mostly nonverbal, eats through her stomach and needs additional special care.

The festival they were attending was one of the first places to be targeted by Hamas when the terrorist group launched its surprise attack across the Gaza border ten days ago.

Hundreds of revelers, who had been at the dance festival in the desert, were horrifically gunned down by Hamas. Others were kidnapped and taken back to Gaza as hostages.

More than 1,400 people are known to have been killed in the terrorist attacks on October 7 which has since been followed by thousands of deaths in Gaza in retaliatory Israeli air strikes.

Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have been massing in preparation for a ground invasion of the Palestinian territory, but this was postponed at the last minute over the weekend amid suggestions they had received new intelligence about hostages taken by Hamas.
