In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, veteran artiste Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, widely known as Blackface, made startling claims of song theft against prominent artists in the Nigerian music industry.

Blackface accused YBNL boss Olamide and his signee Asake of copying his songs, specifically pointing out Olamide’s track ‘Don’t Stop,’ which he alleged was taken from his own song ‘Killa.’

Blackface didn’t stop there; he also accused popular artistes Wizkid and Burna Boy of stealing their hit track ‘Ginger’ from him. He asserted that ‘Ginger’ was heavily influenced by his song ‘Twist & Turn.’ According to the seasoned singer, it’s not just about lyrics but also the unique sounds he created that were allegedly replicated by these artistes.

These accusations have stirred discussions within the music industry, sparking debates about intellectual property and originality. Fans and industry insiders are eagerly awaiting responses from the accused artistes, while the allegations raise important questions about artistic creativity and inspiration in the ever-evolving music landscape.
