2-Year-Youngest, 85-Year-Oldest Among Israeli Hostages Released By Hamas

Twenty-four hostages captured by Hamas including 13 Israeli nationals from the October 7 attack on Southern Israel have been released and are now back in Israel.

GWG.ng reports that among the 13 Israelis released were the youngest who is a two year-old toddler while the oldest is an 85 year old lad.

10 Thais and one Filipino, according to Qatar mediators have also been released.

The Israelis include four children – aged two, four, six and nine – as well as an 85-year-old woman

Palestinian detainees held by Israel have also now been released to the West Bank as part of the deal that was brokered by Qatar.

The Palestinians released include 24 women and 15 teenage boys – the majority were being held in pre-trial detention.

Under the terms of the deal, a total of 50 Israeli hostages and 150 Palestinian detainees are meant to be released over four days during a temporary ceasefire

More aid is also being allowed into Gaza as part of the deal for the release of the Israeli hostages by Hamas. The aid includes 60 lorries carrying medical supplies, fuel and food entered today from Egypt

Hamas’s attacks on 7 October killed 1,200 people, with about 240 taken hostage

Since then, Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry says more than 14,000 people have been killed in Israel’s retaliatory campaign.
