Big Brother Naija alumnus Pere Egbi has set the record straight regarding reports that he has been dating fellow contestant Mercy Eke.

Contrary to widespread speculations circulating on social media, Pere affirmed that he and Mercy are not romantically involved.

Taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday, Pere clarified his relationship status with Mercy, urging fans to refrain from labeling them as partners.

On his X handle (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “Dear shippers, while I appreciate your efforts and care from inception, I would love to be clear on one thing: I am not dating Mercy Eke. So please cease with the flowers mentioning her name. This is as concise as I can be.”

During the recently concluded BBNaija All Stars show, fans widely speculated a romantic connection between Pere and Mercy, based on their intimate moments that fueled speculations that the two were dating.
