Blessings Overflow – Davido Receives “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” Award (Video)

Superstar Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has been honoured as an “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” by the Georgia State General Assembly.

The “Unavailable” crooner proudly showcased the award presented to him by the parliament in a jubilant Instagram post on December 1, 2023 that showed the video capturing the significant moment he received the recognition.

GWG.ng reports that this adds to the list of Davido’s accolades, considering that the City of Houston in the United States had previously declared every July 7 as Davido Day.

Born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and initially entered the music scene as a member of the group KB International.

The artiste expressed his joy as members of the parliament stood up and applauded him following the conferral of the “Outstanding Georgia Citizen” certificate.

Captioning the video, “Davido wrote; This morning I attended the U.S State of Georgia General assembly meeting with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia state senate to be recognized as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’ … God is good. 🇺🇸🌎🇳🇬.”
