Nigerian Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, widely recognized as Davido, shared insights into his unique studio ritual that sometimes sees him in the attire of a homeless person.

Taking to Twitter, the chart-topping artiste explained that his unconventional attire, resembling that of a homeless individual, serves as a prelude to the creation of a musical masterpiece.

In his tweet, Davido conveyed, “Whenever I choose to dress like a homeless man in the studio, rest assured, I’m departing with a CLASSIC.”

This revelation provides a fascinating glimpse into the artiste’s creative process, suggesting that his unorthodox fashion choices are a deliberate and symbolic part of crafting timeless music. Recalled that, The singer made his comeback to the music industry after taking a break following his son’s death, with the release of his album, Timelines which now has over a billion streams.

His new album has brought the singer more recognition and has made him a Grammy nominee. GWG.ng reported that Timeless bagged 3 nominations for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammy.

Speaking on his nomination, Davido affirmed that delay isn’t denial, especially since his contemporaries, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been recognized by the academy.

To add to it, Davido was honored by Atlanta and Georgia with a ‘Day’ dedicated to praising him. His lawyer, Prince Ajudua shared screenshots of the certificate of declaration.

“Atlanta had officially declared November 18th, 2023 as Davido’s Day, while Fluton County, Georgia has declared November 21st, 2023 as Davido Appreciation Day”- GWG.ng reported.
