Why Star Actress Eniola Badmus Is Not Part Of Nigeria’s COP28 Delegation
Sensational actress Eniola Badmus was on Monday morning facing social media scrutiny over her noticeable absence from the Nigerian delegation attending the COP28 climate conference in Dubai despite doing more for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC than Toke Makinwa who is listed as Number 7 on the delegation.
The exclusion of the leading actress who at one time lamented a conspiracy against her in the industry on account of her pro-Tinubu preference has become a focal point for online conversations.
Many are expressing surprise over her absence. Social media platforms are abuzz with ridicule and questions regarding why Eniola Badmus, a vocal APC supporter, was not included in the COP28 delegation.
The social media buzz gained momentum when a netizen humorously suggested that “Ny-sh can get you where your leg can’t take you,” implying that Toke Makinwa, started enjoying APC benefits before Eniola Badmus, because she secured a spot at COP28 despite allegedly doing less for the party.
In a playful jab, the netizen noted, “Funny part is that they added Toke Makinwa as Item 7,” speculating on the significance of being an “Item 7” in political circles. The comment also alluded to the perceived perks associated with being part of post-event gatherings, drawing from the netizen’s experience working at the National Assembly.

Comparisons between Badmus and Toke Makinwa have further fueled the controversy, as netizens highlight the perceived disparity in recognition between the two. Despite allegedly doing less for the APC, Makinwa secured a spot in the COP28 delegation, leading to increased scrutiny of the criteria for acknowledgment and rewards within political circles.
