Popular Afropop singer, Spyro has addressed criticism from Nigerians regarding his performance at a church Christmas carol, asserting his identity as a Christian.

The singer, alongside Harvesters International Christian Center’s lead pastor, Bolaji Idowu, faced backlash from Nigerians displeased with a secular musician performing in a church setting.

In his defense, Spyro emphasized his humanity and expressed the right to participate in church activities. Highlighting his longstanding connection with Harvesters, he clarified that he has been worshiping at the church for over seven years, actively serving in two church departments.

Spyro underscored his dedication as a Christian, emphasizing his commitment to a genuine church experience despite his status as a Nigerian Afropop singer. The artiste’s response aims to affirm his personal faith and engagement within the church community, challenging critics who questioned his involvement in a church Christmas carol performance and also his standing as a Christian.

Spyro said …
