Iyabo Ojo Slams Naira Marley With N1 Billion In Counter Claim

Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded to the lawsuit filed against her by popular singer, Naira Marley.

The actress took to her verified instagram account to post a copy of her own demand letter from her solicitors.

She also demanded one billion Naira as damages.

Recall that earlier In a letter sent by Naira Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo Ojo the actress was said to have falsely accused Naira Marley of engaging in spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba. The lawyer asserted that Ojo further accused Naira Marley of causing mental harm to Mohbad, whom she referred to as a brother.

The legal representative for Naira Marley is seeking redress in the form of N500 million in damages and a public apology from Iyabo Ojo. Naira Marley’s demand includes a request for the apology to be posted on Iyabo Ojo’s official Instagram account and published in a national daily.

The letter emphasized that failure to comply with these conditions would lead to the initiation of a lawsuit against Ojo. It stated, “It is unarguably clear that the above quoted words are in their ordinary and natural meanings meant or were understood to mean by ordinary right-thinking members of the public that have read the post that our Client is a drug addict and that he laced the food and drinks which our Client gave to the boys staying with him with drugs with the resultant effect of occasioning monumental destruction of their lives.”
