Manchester United Set To Terminate Jadon Sancho’s Contract
By Eze Dike
Manchester United are reportedly willing to terminate Jadon Sancho’s contract after the forward failed to apologise to head coach Erik ten Hag after a disagreement between the pair.
United are looking to implement a more ruthless approach player contracts going forward, according to Sky Sports News following the issues around Sancho.
Sancho moved to United for £73 million in 2021, but they’re not struggling to offload the 23-year-old despite interest from Turkey, Italy and Germany.
The move, designed to improve the culture at Old Trafford, would be similar to Arsenal’s recent approach. Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe all saw their contract terminated under Mikel Arteta, an approach that has been noted by United. Another alternative for the Red Devils to get rid of the Englishman is a swap deal in January, with Juventus which will include Federico Chiesa joining the Old Trafford club.
GWG.ng reports that the issues around Jadon Sancho’s contract are coming in the heels of the well-reported failures of the former league winners in the current campaign.
While Manchester United remains focused on repairing the damages done in the recent past, sports actors believe that the team needs to put focus on the long-term prospect of validating himself as a great in the English league.
