Aiyedatiwa will be sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Justice Olusegun Odusola, in Akure, barring any last-minute change in plan.
Commissioners, aides and guests have already taken their seats inside the Cocoa Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure, the state capital, for the swearing-in ceremony.
It was gathered that Aiyedatiwa earlier left his home town of Igbokoda where he had gone for the Christmas and New Year break.
Meanwhile, GWG.ng reports that Aragbaiye in a letter dated December 27 and addressed to the Secretary to the State Government said that he has resolved to resign his appointment.
He gave as his reason the death of Akeredolu who he described as his boss.
GWG.ng reports that the fact that the Aragbaiye resigned his position as Special Adviser to the governor is bound to put other senior political office holders in the Ondo State government on the spot given the acrimony that shadowed relations between the Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa camps in the last few months.
