Ondo APC Governorship Primary: How Aiyedatiwa Won (Video)

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election. The election, which took place ahead of the state’s November 16, 2024, governorship election, saw Aiyedatiwa emerge victorious with a significant margin.

According to the results announced by Usman Ododo, Kogi State Governor and Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Aiyedatiwa secured an overwhelming 48,000 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Olusola Oke, who polled 14,915 votes.

Aiyedatiwa’s victory was widespread, as he won in 16 out of the 18 local government areas in the state. Oke managed to secure a win in only one local government area, Ilaje.

With this victory, Aiyedatiwa has emerged as the APC’s flagbearer for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
