N160m Imported SUVs: National Assembly Approves N6b Car Parks
The National Assembly is to use N6b to build two car parks to accommodate among others the N160m vehicles bought for each of the federal legislators.
The provision for two car parks at N3b each was contained in the N28.7 trillion budget of the Federal Government approved by the National Assembly on Saturday.
GWG.ng reports that the approval of the imported N160m luxury bulletproof vehicles by the National Assembly has put the legislators at odds with many patriotic Nigerians who saw their action at a time of dwindling foreign exchange as worsening the economy.
Many have flayed the legislators for promoting the economy and brands of other countries at a time that the Nigerian economy is in dire straits.
The provision of N6b to build car parks by the National Assembly is bound to further put the priority of the lawmakers in question.
