Embattled On Social Media, Yul Edochie Encourages Blocking for Personal Well-being
Renowned Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has opened up setting boundaries on social media, emphasizing the freedom to block colleagues if their online presence negatively affects one’s mood.
In his Instagram post, Yul Edochie expressed the view that it’s perfectly acceptable to block friends and colleagues on social media if their posts or messages don’t align with one’s well-being. He asserted that real-life friendships do not necessitate online connections, and if any content has an adverse impact, he advocates for immediate blocking. The actor conveyed a nonchalant attitude about the possibility of being blocked in return.
His words resonated with fellow actress Uche Ogbodo, who chimed in with agreement, stating that she, too, appreciates the practice of blocking people online, emphasizing the distinction between real-life friendships and virtual connections.
Yul Edochie concluded by encouraging others to embrace the liberating act of blocking, suggesting that it not only provides a remedy for maintaining a positive online space but also enables individuals to forget about the blocked person’s existence.
