Former Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola has disclosed that he receives a modest monthly pension of N577,000 from the Lagos State government.
Fashola, who governed Lagos State from 2007 to 2015, shed light on his pension details during an interview on Arise News Television, emphasizing the amount he currently receives as part of his retirement benefits. The revelation comes amidst public speculation regarding the financial aspects of the former minister’s post-service life.
GWG.ng reports that Fashola also served as minister of Works in the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Fashola acknowledged his monthly pension and clarified that it is a reflection of the government’s pension system.
