Nigerian Lady Fakes Wedding, Uses Asoebi Money To Fund Canada Trip
In a shocking incident, a Nigerian woman is accused of deceiving her friends by orchestrating a fake wedding and using the money collected for Asoebi (traditional wedding attire) to finance her trip to Canada. The Twitter user @AkiMarlin shared the story, revealing that the woman sold Asoebi and hand fans for 50,000 and 10,000 Naira, respectively.
The woman had provided a location for the bridal shower at a hotel, but her absence raised suspicions. Eventually, her friends discovered that there was no wedding, and the woman had reportedly flown to Canada the next day.
