King Charles Spends Second Day In London Hospital After Surgery
Britain’s King Charles III is undergoing a second day of hospitalization after scheduled prostate surgery, with a visit from his wife Queen Camilla at the London Clinic, where the procedure took place. The private hospital in the capital witnessed Camilla arriving through a back entrance on Saturday to be with the king.
The British monarch, aged 75, was admitted to the hospital on Friday for a “corrective procedure” addressing an enlarged prostate, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace. The palace issued a statement saying, “The king was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment.”
Charles is anticipated to spend two days in the hospital, and reports indicate that he is “doing well” following the surgery. The procedure was necessary, and the monarch is now on the path to recovery.
Interestingly, at the same hospital, Charles’s daughter-in-law, Catherine Princess of Wales, 42, is currently undergoing her own medical journey, having spent 12 days there following abdominal surgery.
Royal officials opted for the unusual step of providing information on the king’s health last week, revealing the presence of an enlarged prostate but assuring that the condition was benign. This transparency is a departure from the usual privacy surrounding the health of the royal family.
As Queen Camilla visited the hospital, it highlights the close-knit nature of the royal family, emphasizing the support and care they extend to each other during times of health challenges. The updates on both King Charles III and Catherine Princess of Wales reflect the public’s interest in the well-being of the royal family members.
