A new video trending online has shown renowned Fuji icon, K1 decrying the current state of Nigeria during one of his stage performances. Speaking in Yoruba, the musician directed his plea to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to address the myriad challenges facing the masses.

K1 expressed concerns over the economic hardships experienced by Nigerians, attributing it to the removal of the fuel subsidy regime and the subsequent depreciation of the naira against the dollar. He highlighted the impact of these reforms, leading to increased inflation and a decline in citizens’ purchasing power, pushing more people below the poverty line.

President Tinubu’s government has faced significant criticism for these economic decisions, prompting widespread outcry from the Nigerian populace. K1, known for his association with Tinubu, added his voice to the lamentations, singing a plea for urgent solutions to the nation’s problems.

“I plead with you to find a solution to the plight of the masses. The citizens are crying and wailing. We’re suffering amid a lack of adequate power supply. How did things get to this point? I implore you to fix these problems,” K1 passionately sang in the video.

The Fuji megastar also addressed those profiting from the suffering of the masses, calling on them to bury their heads in shame. Directing his message to Tinubu again, he urged the President to listen attentively to the complaints of the people and address them with utmost seriousness.

While expressing discontent with the state of the nation, K1 acknowledged Tinubu’s philanthropic efforts and pleaded with Nigerians to exercise patience. Despite the public appeal, the Fuji icon assured the citizens that the government, under Tinubu’s leadership, would resolve the challenges facing the country.
