Police Identify Officers Who Assaulted OAP Over Tinted Permit In Lagos, Launch Investigation (Video)

The Zone 2 command, of the Nigerian Police, has disclosed that the three Police Officers who tried to force their way into a Lagos-based OAP’s car over the demand for tinted glass permit are currently facing trial for gross professional misconduct.

On January 25, the Lagos-based OAP had taken to his X account (@EmmCee_RNB) to share his experience with some ā€˜ā€™policemen” who not in their uniforms and had no means of Identification but wanted to force their way into his car.

A statement released on Friday morning by the PRO of the zone 2 command via its X Official handle, identified the erring officers as (1) ASP KENEDY EREOAH (2) INSPR ADEMILUYI ADEKUNLE and (3) INSPR AYO GBENGA.

The statement read, 

“The attention of the Police in Zone 2 Command was drawn to a viral video posted by ā€˜Xā€™ user with the handle @EmmCee_RNB on the 25th January, 2024 where three men claiming to be Police Officers attached to

“Zone 2 Command demanded a tinted permit from a motorist. The tweet was responded to while investigation was caused into the identity of the Officers.

“The Officers were identified as (1) ASP KENEDY EREOAH (2) INSPR ADEMILUYI ADEKUNLE and (3) INSPR AYO GBENGA all attached to Zonal Intelligence Bureau, Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos.”
