Jos – Youths who engage in creative works in Plateau State have been encouraged not to feel let down by the traditional systems that don’t promote them but they should rather leverage technology to advance their work and get the appropriate economic returns they desire.

The creatives who gathered in Jos, the State capital for the three-day 2024 Incredible Music Festival, IMF, organized by Jude Abaga aka MI, to present a platform for networking, collaboration, experience sharing and more were also encouraged to stream their work and stay connected with their fans, taking control of their creative journey.

The Chief Executive Officer of Aurally, a streaming platform on the blockchain, Meshach Ishaya, who addressed the creatives as he launched the platform noted that leveraging technology will let people live their dreams and also make financial gains while having fun and carrying out their hobby in creativity.

He called on the young creatives not to divorce music and technology as a synergy between both is the key to ensuring equity and profit in the creative space.

According to him, “This is the Incredible Music Festival, IMF put together by MI Jude Abaga, a creative and Aurally is here to showcase and launch its products, we just finished the session and the creatives were made to understand what Aurally brings to the space and they’re excited and ready to engage.

“Before now, when it comes to streaming, there’s not many incentives given to the creatives each time they put out their works, they don’t get much and it takes months for them to remit the cost for what their artworks could be. But with Aurally, you have an instant settlement of the value of what you put on the platform. We introduced a new feature called stream to earn so it means that every fan or audience you have gets to earn from buying an NFT or buying the artwork of their favourite creative on the platform.

“We intend to take all the creatives on the current IMF festival ranging from 1000 to 5000. People should expect more equity coming to the creative space. What we have now is launching with the music, but we are onboarding other types of creatives from visual artists, video artists and a lot more in the second quarter of the year. This is the first time we are bringing out the product and unveiling it. The creatives should not feel let down by the common traditional systems that don’t promote them but have a lot of hassles and bottlenecks.

“Aurally is here to liberate their potential and sell it out to the world. We are dedicated to revolutionizing the music industry and empowering artists through the transformative power of blockchain technology. Aurally is poised to redefine the future of music streaming and create unparalleled opportunities for artists and listeners alike.”

He further explained that “Aurally as decentralized marketplace model allows creatives to sell their music, artwork, and creative content directly to fans and collectors and this eliminates intermediaries and ensures that creatives retain control over their work and earnings.”
