I am grateful to God Almighty that I am privileged by Him to celebrate the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Chief Dan Osi Orbih, a living legend, and a titan of our time.

Chief Orbih’s journey is a testament to the power of leadership, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of our society, via his immeasurable contribution to the party and to the advancement of the Edo and Nigerian society.

As the National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South, Chief Orbih stands as a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength for our party and our nation. His leadership has been marked by unparalleled vision, strategic foresight, and an unyielding commitment to the ideals of democracy and progress, a character that is so difficult to come by in today’s ever-changing world.

Chief Orbih’s tenure as Chairman of the Edo PDP was nothing short of exemplary. Under his guidance, the party achieved historic victories, winning crucial electoral contests and solidifying its position as a driving force for positive change, which eventually gave shelter to Gov. Godwin Obaseki and his flocks when they were homeless and forced to become political orphans and destitute in 2020.

Chief Orbih’s astute leadership led to significant gains in both the senatorial and House of Representatives elections, reflecting his ability to inspire confidence and mobilize support across all levels of society. Which earned him the status of being called and referred to as “The Leader” by both great and small.

Beyond his political accomplishments, Chief Orbih is renowned for his boundless generosity, compassionate spirit, and unwavering dedication to uplifting others and turning rejected stones to become the chief cornerstone. This was evidenced when he ensured that Sen. Matthew Urhoghide, who was used and dumbed and even debased by Sen. Com. Adams Oshiomhole, while in APC, was cleaned, refined, and made a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a dream Sen. Urhoghide gave up on and never knew that he could ever become a councilor, let alone a senator.

In the same way, he also took in the man who was thrown into the rain (Obaseki) and rendered homeless in 2020. When all hope of winning the second term was lost, Chief Orbih hewed a giant hope out of their despair. How did they, in turn, appreciate him?

They fought, maligned, called him names, and still came back to eat and drink with him. I have seen men with large and forgiving hearts, but I have yet to find one that equals Chief Orbih in possessing a fine character.

The Man Orbih has touched the lives of countless individuals through his philanthropic endeavors, mentorship programs, and commitment to social justice. His nickname, “Kulukulu 1 of Africa,” is a testament to his larger-than-life persona and the profound impact he has had on the lives of people across the continent.

You don’t need a DNA to show and prove that these uncommon virtues were instilled in him through his father of blessed memory, a man who also gave his best to the development of Nigeria, Chief MCK Orbih. We will discuss him another day.

I am still praying and asking God to give me the kind of heart Chief Orbih possesses. He still shows love, talks, and even laugh with those he knows are constantly seeking his downfall, though they keep failing after several attempts. Most of the very people he gave his best are the very greedy set of folks trying to lay hands on God’s anointed. Now I know why he is calm and progressing, while they keep running from pillar to post, and most are stagnant.

No doubt, no gainsaying that Chief Orbih’s love for knowledge, his innovative spirit, and his unparalleled oratory prowess have earned him widespread admiration and respect. He is a true visionary, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible and inspiring others to dream big and reach for the stars.

Just his silence on the 2023 General Election, not like the “I am the leader who lost all three Senatorial District elections and lost eight out of nine HOR seats.” Same elections Orbih has consistently produced two out of three senators and five out of nine HOR members. Truly, Orbih is a rare gem, a diadem for success and progress. He is truly a city on a hill.

As I choose to celebrate Chief Dan Osi Orbih, I will not only honor his past achievements but also reaffirm my commitment to supporting him in his ongoing journey. His leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication continue to inspire us all to strive for excellence, embrace compassion, and work tirelessly for the common good.

Chief Orbih, your legacy is a source of inspiration for us all, and I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey. May your light continue to shine brightly, illuminating the path toward a brighter, more inclusive future for all. I wish you health, peace,  more success, strength, and longevity.

Long live Chief Dan Osi Orbih, the living legend, and may his legacy endure for generations to come.
