Was Herbert Wigwe’s Daughter Rude Sitting Down To Greet VP Shettima?
A recent post on X has sparked controversy as a user criticized Tochi Wigwe, the oldest daughter of Herbert Wigwe, for not standing to greet Vice President Kashim Shettima during a mourning event.
The post included a photo of Tochi seated while accepting a handshake from Shettima, contrasting it with images of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and businessman Aliko Dangote standing to greet Shettima.
In the caption, the user condemned Tochi’s actions, stating that she lacked proper home training and should have stood to greet someone old enough to be her father.

This criticism prompted further backlash from other X users, particularly from the Northern region, who joined in berating the grieving daughter.

However, amidst the criticism, many users came to Tochi’s defense, arguing that the circumstances of the event, which was organized to mourn the tragic loss of her father, mother, and brother in a helicopter crash, warranted understanding and compassion rather than judgment
