Tolani Shobajo, better known as Tolanibaj from Big Brother Naija, has opened up about why she wouldn’t consider dating someone like popular skit maker, Lord Lamba.

Lamba recently faced backlash on social media over his controversy with his baby mama, Queen Mercy Atang.

In January 2023, Queen shared photos of her daughter, Princess Keilah, born in 2022 from a brief relationship with Lord Lamba. Despite the revelation, both Queen and Lord Lamba remained silent about the matter.

The timing of Lord Lamba’s acknowledgment of his daughter coincided with Queen’s engagement announcement to King David, sparking mixed reactions online. Some criticized Lamba for his timing, which they deemed insensitive considering Queen’s engagement.

In response to the controversy, Lamba explained on Instagram that he kept his daughter away from social media to shield her from online trolling. He expressed concern about protecting Keilah from the negative consequences of being exposed to social media scrutiny.

Reports suggested that Lamba’s mother had doubts about the paternity of Keilah and never approved of Queen. Tolani Shobajo weighed in on the matter during an episode of the ‘Bahd And Boujee Podcast,’ which she co-hosts with actress Moet Abebe.

Tolanibaj expressed her reluctance to date someone like Lord Lamba, referring to him as a “mummy’s boy” and questioning his reliance on his mother for decision-making. She specifically mentioned her aversion to dating an only son from an Igbo family, implying that Lord Lamba fits this description.

Her remarks shed light on the complexities of relationships and the influence of family dynamics on personal choices. Tolanibaj’s candid comments added fuel to the ongoing discussions surrounding Lord Lamba’s controversy and highlighted differing perspectives on dating preferences.
