Nigerian Skit Maker In Shock After Making Joke Of ‘Mammy Water’ (Video)

A skit maker’s attempt at humor took a perilous turn when he found himself seriously injured and nearly swept away by sea waves while filming a video mocking the spirits believed to inhabit the ocean.

In a viral video that circulated widely on social media, the skit maker was captured standing precariously on rocks beside the seashore, pouring an alcoholic drink into the water while chanting, “Let mammy water be high” and taunting, “Gods of mammy water, do your worst.”

Moments later, a powerful wave crashed onto the rocks, engulfing the man and knocking him to the ground, causing a serious leg injury. In the chaos, he even lost his phone before scrambling to apologize to the marine spirits for his disrespectful actions.

The alarming footage was shared by popular philanthropist Chima Amada, known as Mazi Gburugburu, on his Instagram page, drawing widespread attention and concern over the dangers of such reckless behavior.
