APC Gives 7-Day Deadline To Withdraw Court Cases

The All Progressive Congress (APC), has Issued a seven-day ultimatum to its members in Benue State to withdraw all ongoing court cases involving the party or risk suspension and ultimate expulsion from the party. 

The National Working Committee, NWC of the APC gave the ultimatum at its 146th Meeting held on Wednesday stating.

In a statement following the meeting as pertaining to the crisis in the Benue State chapter and signed by the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, Ph.D., B.L, the resolution stated:

 “That all ongoing cases filed in the name of the Party or associated with matters concerning the Party and involving Party members must be discontinued and withdrawn from the courts within the next 7 days.

“That failure to comply with this resolution will result in disciplinary action being taken against any member responsible for such suits, including immediate suspension and ultimately expulsion from the Party.

“That it is crucial that all members of the APC Benue State Chapter adhere to this directive promptly. The unity and integrity of our Party must be upheld, and resolving legal matters internally is paramount to maintaining the cohesion and focus of the APC.”

GWG.ng reports that the crisis in the Benue State chapter of the APC has led to the institution of several court cases in the internal war among stakeholders of the party in the state.
