60 Dead, 100 Injured In Gun Attack At Moscow Concert Hall (video)

60 people have reportedly died and 100 injured after a gun attack at Crocus City hall, Moscow, Russia.

According to Russian news agencies, at least three people dressed in camouflage opened fire leaving people wounded at the Crocus City Hall.

Crocus City Hall was about to host a rock concert when the gunmen burst into the foyer and then the theatre itself.

Much of the building was engulfed by fire and part of the roof collapsed.

Video obtained by Reuters news agency captured a large blaze and smoke rising from the hall.

According to an unverified statement online, militant group Islamic State said it was behind the attack.

US officials told CBS, the BBC’s partner service in the US, that it had obtained intelligence that showed IS had wanted to attack Russia.

GWG.ng understands that the intelligence on the attack was passed off to Russia but officials there were said to have dismissed it as part of the euphoria around the elections that were about to be held at that time.

Russia’s National Guard said it had special units working at the scene to hunt down the attackers. Top Russian officials also headed to Krasnogorsk.
