New Twist In ‘Best Dressed Female’ Saga As Prominent Actresses Fight Dirty

A social media storm has erupted within Nigeria’s Nollywood community as actress Aduke Omotayo, wife of renowned actor Femi Adebayo, and fellow actress Dayo Amusa engage in a heated exchange over the controversial award of Best Dressed Female to Bobrisky during a movie premiere.

GWG.ng reports that the feud ignited when Amusa criticized Femi Adebayo for presenting the Best Dressed Female award to Bobrisky, a controversial crossdresser, at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s latest movie. Amusa took to Instagram to express her discontent, lambasting the judges and organizers for what she perceived as a lack of respect for the women attendees.

In her critique, Amusa argued that a separate category should have been established to recognize crossdressers, rather than including them in the Best Dressed Female category.

In a swift response, Aduke Omotayo defended her husband on Instagram, questioning the fairness of blaming Femi Adebayo for a decision made by the event’s judges and organizers to honour Bobrisky. She also took aim at those who chose to publicly criticize her husband instead of addressing their concerns privately, calling into question their integrity.

However, Amusa did not back down, acknowledging Aduke’s right to defend her spouse but criticizing her for engaging in what she deemed as narrow-minded banter.

In a further escalation of the conflict, Aduke fired back, accusing Amusa of hypocrisy and malicious intent. She recounted a phone conversation earlier in the day where Amusa allegedly apologized to Femi Adebayo, promising to rectify the situation with a video apology following her earlier reaction to the award given to Bobrisky. Aduke claimed that Amusa failed to follow through on her promise, labeling her actions as deceitful.

Recall that many celebrities had spoken out on Bobrisky’s win. Actress, Toyin Abraham was captured expressing disbelief that the crossdresser beat all female celebrities and guests to emerge the winner. She could be heard in a viral clip questioning if the organizers were mad to have crowned him the winner.

Singer, Portable had taken to Bobrisky’s comment section to warn him against saying he belonged to the sisterhood, and he even threatened to call the police on him. Reacting, Bobrisky called him a dirty boy and blocked him on Instagram
