Shehu Sani Goes Spiritual As El-Rufai – Gov Sani War Consumes Senior APC Official
Former Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has turned to the Bible to describe the unfolding battle between Governor Uba Sani and his predecessor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai even as the war has consumed its first major victim, the State women leader of the party, Hajiya Maryam Mai-Rusau.
In a post on his official X handle while sending Easter celebration he said “Kaduna is now in a situation described in ISAIAH; 49:26, Happy Easter!”
The bible verse Sani referred to was drawn from Isaiah 49:26 which says: “And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.”
An X user, Nwafresh reacted with the NIV translation of the said bible verse which renders, “I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
GWG.ng earlier reported the condemnation by the former governor’s son, Bashir El-rufai who flayed his father’s successor, Uba Sani of thriving among incompetent aides and staying away from Kaduna.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Badarawa/Malali ward has suspended Hajiya Maryam Mai-Rusau, the State Women leader for reportedly defending former Gov. Nasir el-Rufai over the alleged recent controversy on the state’s huge debt.
The suspension was contained in a letter co-signed by the Ward Chairman and Secretary, Ali Maishago and Zakka Bassahuwa, respectively and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Kaduna.
