“When I publicly disclosed the salaries and running costs of lawmakers, it was the then Senate president who saved me from Suspension. If you talk too much, your body go tell you, that is why even opposition no fit oppose too much,” Sani added.

GWG.ng reported on Tuesday that Senator Abdul Ningi was suspended for three months by the Nigerian Senate, over his claim that the 2024 Budget was padded to the tune of N3.7 trillion.

The suspension of Senator Ningi as claimed by Senator Shehu Sani will further reinforce the culture of secrecy in the Senate.
