During a sermon and anointing service at the monthly Holy Ghost gathering at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) headquarters in Mowe, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of RCCG, issued a stern warning to his critics.

Addressing the ongoing criticism he faces from various quarters, including celebrities and media personalities, Pastor Adeboye emphasized that while he doesn’t mind being mocked, his God must not be ridiculed.

Acknowledging his own human limitations, Pastor Adeboye humbly stated, “If Paul, who wrote more than half of the New Testament, claimed to be less than the least of the saints, according to Ephesians 3:8, Pastor Adeboye is nothing.” He emphasized that while he may be considered insignificant, his God is everything.

Asserting the supremacy of God over human frailty, Pastor Adeboye emphasized, “Adeboye is weak, he eats pounded yam and goes to the toilet. But his God is stronger than the strongest.” He reiterated that while he may be subject to ridicule and mockery, it is his God who deserves reverence and respect.

Quoting scripture to emphasize his point, Pastor Adeboye highlighted the divine principle that those whom God chooses to use are often perceived as weak and foolish by worldly standards. He affirmed that while individuals may mock him, they must not mock his God, as God is a consuming fire.

In his concluding remarks, Pastor Adeboye reiterated that while criticism directed towards him is to be expected, it is imperative to maintain reverence for God. He emphasized that ultimately, it is God who deserves all glory and honor, regardless of human shortcomings.
