Nollywood actor TC Okafor has opened up about his miraculous survival and the boat accident that claimed the lives of his colleague, Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope and three others.

In a video shared online, TC Okafor revealed the harrowing details of the incident, highlighting his own fears and instincts that played a crucial role in his survival. Despite his lack of swimming skills and a deep-seated phobia of water, TC Okafor ingeniously improvised by carrying Fanta with him onto the boat and pouring some into the river. This unconventional act served as a lifeline as he clung to the rope that held the boat in place when disaster struck.

The actor revealed that they were a group of 15 individuals on the boat, part of the Adanma Luke movie production titled “The Other Side Of Life.” Shockingly, only two of them were equipped with life jackets, a critical oversight that would prove fatal for some.

TC Okafor said that as Junior Pope filmed a video on the boat, the driver, distracted by the filming, failed to notice an approaching canoe, leading to a collision that sent them plunging into the water. Amidst the chaos and panic, TC Okafor’s quick thinking and resourcefulness allowed him to grasp onto the rope, desperately clinging to it alongside another survivor as they fought for their lives.

Despite emerging from the ordeal alive, TC Okafor bore physical scars from the accident, showcasing a visible scar on his leg as he recounted the traumatic experience.
