Cross River Governor NYSC graduate automatic employment

Cross River Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has granted automatic employment in the state civil service to former corps member Miss Arit Anam, in recognition of her honoring her father’s support for her education. Anam, who completed her one-year NYSC service, filmed herself returning to her father’s thatch house, saluting him in a military manner she learned during NYSC orientation.

This salute symbolized her gratitude to her father, whom she later adorned with her NYSC cap and jacket for enabling her education despite his financial struggles. Governor Otu, upon seeing the video, sent a delegation to verify the story at Miss Anam’s residence in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area.

After confirming the authenticity of the story, Governor Otu decided to offer Miss Arit Anam automatic employment as a means of encouraging young people to appreciate their family backgrounds. A graduate of Mass Communication from Temple Gate Polytechnic, Aba, Abia State, Miss Anam expressed gratitude to both governors for helping her father become a homeowner and encouraged her peers to value their cultural roots.

Governor Otu also gave Miss Anam the opportunity to choose the ministry, department, or agency where she would like to work within the state civil service.
