Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has appealed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to spare him after a video surfaced showing him spraying naira on his fans.

In light of crossdresser Bobrisky’s recent six-month jail sentence for defacing the naira, Portable expressed remorse and asked for forgiveness from the agency.

This plea comes after Portable, known for his street performances, previously boasted about giving his followers nearly N2 million daily through money spray. However, in a recent live chat, he announced his decision to cease spraying money and encouraged his supporters to open bank accounts, stating that he would now only make transfers.

Addressing his past actions, Portable stated, “I didn’t deface the Naira, I help a lot of people. After God, it’s the Government. Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money; no more spraying of money.”

As Portable seeks redemption, the public awaits further developments in this unfolding saga.

GWG.ng reports that the plea to the EFCC by Portable follows the conviction of socialite Bobrisky over allegations of spraying the naira and the planned arraignment of socialite Cubana Chief Priest over similar allegations of spraying the naira.
