In a groundbreaking move, Nigerian music icon Davido has joined forces with UnitedMasters to launch his new label, Nine+ Records. This innovative partnership marks a significant shift in the music industry, as Davido takes the reins in artiste development and A&R duties, paving the way for a fresh roster of Nigerian talent to make their mark.

According to Davido, ‘under the terms of this exciting arrangement, his existing label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has been dissolved, and all current DMW artistes will be transitioning to Nine+’.

The roster includes talented acts such as Dremo, Yonda, Peruzzi, Idowest, DJ Ecool, Danagog, B-Red, Deekay, May D, Deinde, Ayanfe, Liya, Morravey, SayTheyCallMESG, and Logos Olori.

GWG.ng reports that UnitedMasters, founded by David Stout, is a new player in the African music scene, focusing on artiste development, A&R, artiste signing, and behind-the-scenes operations. At the launch, Steve Stoute, founder and CEO of UnitedMasters, emphasized the company’s commitment to Africa, stating, “Over the last two years, we’ve proven our dedication to the continent by investing in artistes, education, and technology. Today, we’re doubling down. With this new venture with Davido and the launch of Nine Plus Records, we’re reinforcing our mission to become a bridge for artistes across the continent.”
