A video of a beautiful Arise TV Reporter, Laila Johnson, engaging the Minister of Works, David Umahi, on Calabar-Lagos costal lane, is trending on social media.

Her foreign accent and clear command of English stopped the minister in his tracks, eliciting the reaction, ‘Sister I was raised in the village, me I no dey hear “phoone”.

In response, Laila told the minister that she can’t help the way she speaks.

Umahi followed back by asking for interpreters, Laila confidently fired back by insisting that he has enough people around him to make him understand what she was saying.

After the exchange, Umahi responded to Laila’s question by saying they have all the necessary approval to initiate the project.
