A man has been convicted and sentenced to one year in prison or community service for fraud by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt for cloning the facebook account of Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government in Rivers State.

GWG.ng reports that P. Chidera and two others were on trial for cloning Facebook accounts and using them for fraudulent activities.

Chief Magistrate Rita Oguguo delivered her verdict, finding Chidera guilty of cloning the Facebook account belonging to Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, and exploiting it for fraudulent purposes.

The magistrate affirmed that the prosecution effectively demonstrated the fraud charges against the defendant.

Consequently, Chidera was handed a one-year prison sentence or the alternative of community service, which entails tasks such as sweeping, grass cutting, and drainage cleaning along the route from the Rivers State Government House back gate at Jumbo Street, Old GRA Port Harcourt, to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

This community service obligation is to be fulfilled four times weekly for a duration of three months for the offence of cloning the Facebook account of Danagogo, a move that is bound to act as a deterrent to others.
