Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has taken to social media to flaunt bundles of cash, seemingly in response to claims that he couldn’t afford a car. This comes days after his arrest by the Lagos State Police Command over an alleged debt.

Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, posted a video of himself surrounded by stacks of cash on his Instagram page, captioning it “Spider-Man. God is over everything.” This appears to be a dig at those who questioned his financial capabilities.

GWG.ng reports that the singer’s arrest was in connection with a debt he incurred when purchasing a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos. According to reports, Portable paid only N13m out of the N27m price tag and refused to pay the remaining N14m, citing the car’s faulty condition.

Despite the controversy, Portable seems unfazed, releasing a new song called “Spider-Man” which details his arrest. He has also shown off his wealth on social media, previously sharing clips of his brand-new Benz, which he purchased to reward himself for his hard work.

Portable claimed he received a discount on the N60 million car due to his celebrity status, paying only N50 million. His latest display of wealth has sparked mixed reactions from fans and followers, with some praising his success and others criticizing his extravagant spending amidst financial controversies.
