Japa: New Light Over Pastor Kumuyi’s ‘Relocation’ To UK

Pastor William Kumuyi has not relocated to the United Kingdom, UK despite video evidence portraying him as saying that he was based in that country.

GWG.ng reports that Kumuyi had been trolled by some critics for supposedly relocating to the UK despite entreaties to Nigerians to pray for the Bola Tinubu government to succeed for the good of all.

Some X users had picked on an old interview with Kumuyi during a preaching engagement in Ukraine criticizing that he had relocated to the UK despite encouraging Nigerians to pray for the Tinubu government to succeed in Nigeria.

GWG.ng reports that the trolling came after it was confirmed that another popular cleric, Pastor Sam Adeyemi confirmed his relocation from Nigeria to the United States.

Adeyemi had been reported by GWG.ng as saying that he relocated because of bad dreams among others.

Responding to the short clip that trended that said that Kumuyi had relocated to the UK, an X user posted the complete video clip:

However, another user came in to post and offered the explanation that at the time the interview was recorded Tinubu had not come to power and that Kumuyi was then based in the UK where he was bonding with his new wife who had been based there before her marriage to him.

He indicated the date mark on the Youtube post to confirm that the controversial interview took place in 2015 well before the emergence of Tinubu as president.

GWG.ng reports that Kumuyi has in the last few days been engaged in a crusade in Cameroon and is expected back to his Nigeria base on Tuesday.
