APC politician threatens to occupy Ajayi Crowther University over Lynching of student

A high-powered delegation from the Warri and Uvwie kingdoms of Delta State visited Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, on Wednesday to demand answers surrounding the death of Alex Timileyin, a student allegedly beaten to death by his colleagues last Saturday. The deceased was a prince in both kingdoms.

Led by Prince Yemi Emiko, the deceased’s uncle, and Honourable Efe Ofobruku, the delegation included Alex Eyengho, Clem Onotoye, and others. They sought to uncover the truth behind Alex’s tragic death and ensure justice is served.

During their visit, the delegation met with university authorities, visited the scene of the incident, and went to the mortuary where Alex’s body was kept. They were shocked to find the mortuary in a state of disarray, with Alex’s body swollen and bearing visible injuries.

Yemi Otuedon, a member of the delegation, shared videos and updates on Facebook, expressing their outrage and sadness. “Justice is all we seek, nothing but justice,” he wrote.

The delegation discovered that the university had tidied up Alex’s residence, raising suspicions of a cover-up. Otuedon described the scene: “They went to his residence and mopped the place and kept his things on the floor… Is that not a wicked school?”

The delegation’s visit highlights the growing concern and anger over Alex’s death, and the demand for accountability from the university and those responsible. As the investigation continues, the people of Warri and Uvwie kingdoms, and indeed Nigerians, await justice for the slain prince.
