BREAKING: SGF Summons Emergency Meeting With Labour Leaders

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SFG, George Akume has summoned organised labour to an emergency meeting in an apparent move to break the ongoing nationwide strike that crippled most sectors of the economy.

Comrade Festus Osifo, President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria confirmed the meeting to The Nation on Monday as he headed to the meeting.

According to him, labour leaders comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and TUC were heading to the SGF office for the meeting.

“Yes, we are heading there now,” Osifo said.
