Heritage Bank: CBN Clears Air On Fate Of Three Other Banks

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has debunked claims that it is set to revoke the licenses of Unity Bank, Keystone Bank and Polaris Bank.

Recall that the CBN on Monday revoked the operating license of Heritage Bank.

The action caused tension as regards to the fate of the banks mentioned above leading to rumours spreading on social media.

However, the apex bank, released a statement via its official X account on Tuesday, to counter the rumour, urging members of the public to dismiss the report as fake news.

Sharing a screenshot of the publication, CBN stated: “This content is fake and not from the Central Bank of Nigeria.”
