Lady Brings Evidence As Man Is Jailed For Removing Condom During Intercourse

A 39-year-old man from Brixton, south London, has been sentenced to 51 months in prison for removing a condom without his sexual partner’s consent. Guy Mukendi was found guilty of rape at Inner London Crown Court on April 2, 2023, and sentenced on June 13.

The victim had explicitly consented to sexual activity with Mukendi on the condition that a condom was used. However, he removed it without her consent, violating her trust and autonomy. The courageous survivor reported the assault on May 9, 2023, and worked closely with the Metropolitan Police to secure evidence, including screenshots of Mukendi’s apologetic messages, which he later deleted.

The police commendably supported the victim throughout the investigation, recognizing the immense courage it takes to report such a traumatic experience. The successful prosecution and conviction of Mukendi serve as a vital reminder that consent is paramount in all sexual encounters, and any violation of that consent will be taken seriously by the law.
