The fallout from Yvonne Jegede’s comments defending Yul Edochie’s polygamy continues, with fans of May Edochie, Yul’s estranged wife, taking to Prime Video to leave negative reviews of Yvonne’s movie, A Father’s Love. This comes after Yvonne sparked outrage with her podcast interview, where she slammed critics of Yul’s decision to take a second wife, Judy Austin.

Despite apologizing for her insensitive remarks, Yvonne’s mea culpa failed to appease May’s supporters, who feel she didn’t adequately acknowledge May’s pain and hardship during her marriage.

The backlash has been intense, with fellow actress Angela Okorie labeling Yvonne a “failed actress” and accusing her of using May’s situation for publicity.

Rita Edochie, May’s sister-in-law, also expressed disappointment in Yvonne’s comments, questioning the sincerity of her apology. Meanwhile, May’s lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, revealed that Yul has neglected his financial responsibilities, leaving May to care for their three children alone.
