Unfancied Switzerland has knocked out defending champions, Italy out of the Euro tournament following a 2-0 defeat.

GWG.ng reports that an impressive dominant play by the Swiss brought about the first Swiss defeat of Italy in more than three decades.

It was the second consecutive time that Switzerland would advance to the round of 16.

It was a shocking defeat for the 2020 Euro champions inside the Berlin Stadium.

Goals by Remo Frueler in the 37th minute and a second by Rueben Vargas as the second half resumed were the two goals that put Switzerland into an amazing celebration that is bound to go through the night in the German capital.
