Kudos, Knocks As Bashir El-Rufai Says Dad Is No Thief During Twitter Exchange

Reactions have been sparked on social media, after a man asked Nasir El-Rufai’s Son, Bashir El-Rufai, the provocative question of whether his father and immediate past former governor of Kaduna State was a thief.

The man identified as @sunny on X, asked Bashir El-Rufai, “Your papa thief abi e no thief?”

Bashir replied, “I can’t say I know for sure o. That one na between him & Allah. But I personally do not believe the father I know that raised me & my siblings is a thief. 

“However, to each their own to believe as they wish. You, your papa na thief?”

The discussion between the two, which spiraled into Thursday, GWG.ng reports was fired by the indictment of the former governor by the Kaduna State House of Assembly over alleged misappropriation by the immediate past administration.

Mallam El-Rufai has since gone to court to clear himself of the allegations thrown up by his former political protegees.

While some netizens classified the response of Bashir El-Rufai to the question of whether his father was a thief or not, as intelligent, others saw his response as dishonest.
