BREAKING: Kano Court Bars Aminu Ado Bayero, 4 Dethroned Emirs From Claiming Titles
Kano State High Court 17, led by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, has issued a permanent injunction preventing Aminu Ado Bayero and four other dethroned Emirs from Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye from presenting themselves as Emirs.
On Monday, the court delivered a judgment that also prohibits the 15th Emir of Kano and the four other Emirs, along with their servants, associates, and appointees, from claiming the titles of Emirs of Kano, Bichi, Gaya, Rano, and Karaye.
This ruling came after the Kano State government filed a case requesting the court to stop Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, and the four Emirs of Karaye, Bichi, Rano, and Gaya from presenting themselves as Emirs.
Additionally, the government gave the deposed Emirs 48 hours to vacate their respective palaces.
